MUBS Mixed Chorus

The MUBS Mixed Chorus was founded in 2019, by Ciaran Wilson, where he took the lead as Director.
Then for it's second year, the duty was split between the current Mantunian Way, and Ultraviolet directors at the time, Ciaran, and Seb Marshall.

This year, the MUBS Mixed Chorus will once again be directed by both Ciaran Wilson

Like the other two choruses, the MUBS Mixed Chorus sings in the barbershop style. The main difference, of course, is that it contains the different voice types of male, and female. Now, voice placement-wise, it isn't as you would expect; the female voices singing high, and the male voices singing low. We actually try our best to spread both voice types across all 4 parts, leading to a better, smoother, and unique blend of singing.

In May 2019, MUBS Mixed Chorus had the opportunity to compete in Bournemouth, at the 2019 BABS Mixed Chorus Competition.

After a fantastic time on stage, we managed to place an astounding 4th! We received very good feedback from the judges that we are working on to improve our performance., ready for the next competition.

Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, we were unable to compete. But we will be back in action as soon as it is safe to do so, preparing for the May 2021 BABS Mixed Chorus Competition in Bournemouth.
